What we do on the bench.

Water damage isn't a single repair — it's a recovery process. We open the phone, evaluate which components have corrosion, clean the board in an ultrasonic bath if needed, replace damaged parts (battery, charging port, screen if it's gone), and reassemble. If the logic board itself is fried beyond repair, we tell you straight and refund the diagnostic toward a trade-in credit on a replacement phone.

Our water damage process:

• Flat-rate diagnostic (refunded if we can't fix it)
• Open phone, photograph board, document corrosion
• Ultrasonic clean if needed
• Replace corroded battery, charging port, speakers, or other components
• Test all functions: cellular, Wi-Fi, charging, cameras, speakers, mic, Face ID
• If board is unrecoverable, we tell you and refund toward trade-in
• 60-day warranty on whatever we replaced (not on the underlying board recovery)

Salt water vs fresh water.

Salt water from the boardwalk and beach is the worst kind of liquid damage. Salt accelerates corrosion and is conductive — it shorts circuits faster than fresh water. If your phone went in the ocean, bring it in within a few hours if at all possible. Fresh water (toilet, sink, rain) gives you more time, but still — sooner is always better.
